# The Solisq Token (SLQ)

The Solisq Token (listed as $SLQ) is our platform's native cryptocurrency, used for transactions within the ecosystem. $SLQ is a Binance Chain token, meaning fees will be paid using BNB or BSC standards.

Here’s why it stands out:

* Low Fees: Enjoy lower transaction costs than fiat or traditional payment methods.
* Speed: Fast and reliable payment methods without the delays caused by banks or payment processors.
* Utility Backing: SLQ is backed by the Solisq ecosystem, which extends beyond our freelancer marketplace/platform. As Solisq grows, so does the intrinsic value of the Solisq Token, driving demand and creating a sustainable market.
* Incentives: Freelancers can earn extra rewards and incentives when paid in Solisq Tokens.
* Security: Being a Binance Chain token further supports secure, fast, and transparent payments.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://solisq.gitbook.io/solisq-documentation/the-solisq-token-slq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
